Tennis Estafette

For the 2011 World Tennis Tournament, the online game 'Tennis Estafette' was launched.  In the weeks prior to the tournament, the site offered visitors to pass a virtual tennis ball to one of their Facebook contacts, who in turn could pass your ball along to one of their friends, and so on.
The website visualized and tracked the virtual distance the tennis balls travelled from user to user and awarded prizes to originators of the tennis balls which travelled the longest distances. Introduced with a movie and developed with a nifty Flash frontend plus a backend tapping into the Google Maps, Google Places and Facebook APIs, this complete game became an amazing online experience.
